For a quick cleaning of wooden garden furniture such as teak, simply brush off coarse dirt, apply a biodegradable patio cleaner (1:10 with water), let it work for a short time, then scrub with a brush and rinse. Plastic, polyrattan, or metal furniture can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water and a sponge. This efficiently cleans the furniture without damaging it.

The easiest way to sand your wooden garden furniture is by hand, as this allows for easy access to corners and curves. Start with 180-grit sandpaper and then smooth the wood with 240-grit sandpaper. Before sanding, we recommend cleaning the wood, for example, with a patio cleaner, to prevent dirt and biofilm from impairing the sanding result.

It's best to oil your wooden garden furniture when it's clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Apply the oil evenly with a lint-free cloth, brush, or roller, and massage it in until the surface appears dry. After about 24 hours, you can polish the furniture again for an even finish.

Store your wooden garden furniture in a dry place, ideally in a garage or carport, to protect it from harsh weather. Avoid protective covers, as moisture can build up underneath. Alternatively, use a loosely placed tarpaulin with sufficient air circulation. This will ensure the wood lasts longer and retains its quality.
