BETTERWOOD " ADVICE » WOOD TILES " TO PLAN
Here you can find out how to calculate the wood tiles you need for your balcony and terrace, what costs you have to reckon with and what you should consider when buying online.
For 30 × 30 cm wooden tiles, the calculation results in a requirement of 11,11 tiles per square meter (since 0,3 m × 0,3 m = 0,09 m² per tile). In practice, however, you should plan slightly more to account for waste, adjustments to edges and corners, and possible replacement tiles.
A rule of thumb is to calculate approximately 12-13 tiles per square meter to be on the safe side.
Learn moreThe cost of wood tiles depends on the type of wood:
Cumaru tiles, Garapa, Jatoba: approx. €6,50 per tile → approx. €72 per m²
Teak wood tiles: approx. €7,50 per tile → about €83 per m²
Note: These prices are calculated per square meter. Additional costs may arise for waste, shipping, optional maintenance, or discounts.
Learn moreWooden tiles are shipped either via DPD parcel (parcels up to 25,5 kg, delivery in approximately 3 business days) or, for large orders over 200 kg, via freight forwarding on a pallet (delivery in approximately 7 business days). With freight forwarding, delivery is made to the curb, and the pallet remains with the customer. Shipping costs depend on weight and range from €10 to €150 for wooden tiles.
Learn moreFor kitchen countertops, we recommend a thickness of 30mm to 40mm. This thickness ensures maximum stability, resilience, and an impressive appearance. Our 30mm and 40mm thick solid wood kitchen countertops are particularly robust and ideal for work surfaces subject to heavy daily wear and tear.
