Herringbone pattern, always a new trend
The herringbone pattern has a long tradition in the laying of parquet flooring and can be found in many historic buildings. Nevertheless, it is not old-fashioned and is always in vogue. The laying pattern consisting of diagonally arranged planks is usually only laid with strip parquet planks, as these have the corresponding filigree format required for this.
The planks can either meet at the corners, adjusted to 45 degrees, or the end faces can be placed uncut against the adjacent plank (as shown in the picture). In addition to the single herringbone Sample, there are also double or triple herringbone Samples. It is important with all variants that you pay attention to the differently manufactured rods for this Sample if necessary (left and right rods).
Even though this type of installation is relatively complex and expensive, it is still popular and works best in large rooms.
