BETTERWOOD ” DECKING BOARDS ” Cumaru ” experiences

Experience with our Cumaru

Many hundreds of unique terraces have already been built with our Cumaru boards. Here you will find a selection of pictures and reports provided by our customers.

“Cumaru is an incredibly hard wood. Sawing and screwing is a bit tedious. But it was worth it. You can see the value of the wooden decking. Thank you also for the great planning and advice!”

“The most important thing for us was durability. And Cumaru has the best values here. We also wanted the wood to be sustainably sourced. Betterwood’s concept was the most credible. We have now been enjoying our fantastic terrace for four years and are delighted with our decision.”

“I replaced our weathered Douglas fir decking and laid approx. 18m² of Cumaru. Although I had gathered a lot of information online, the advice from Betterwood was also very helpful. The quality was also right. The boards were largely flawless and hardly warped. I was a little apprehensive about the processing because of the high density of the wood. The boards were cut to size using a powerful cross-cut saw and pre-drilling with an HSS drill at high speed. Aligning the substructure is very easy with the pedestal supports. Five stars!”

“We installed the Cumaru decking boards together with a Cumaru substructure. The quality was much better than the wood in the DIY store. The fastening system with the clips also worked really well, although it was a little time-consuming. Many thanks for the great advice!”

“I laid the approx. 60sqm terrace with 9cm wide Cumaru decking boards and a hardwood substructure. The quality of the boards supplied was superb. The fastening system with the clips also worked well, although it was a little time-consuming on my own. Many thanks for the very professional and friendly advice!”

“Dear Betterwood team,
We would like to thank you and all your colleagues who supported us in the planning and realization of our dream terrace. We felt that we received individual advice and the best possible support from you at every stage. We are very satisfied both with you as a company and with the Cumaru wood we purchased and would therefore recommend you at any time. “

“I have now upgraded the second balcony with Betterwood Cumaru boards. The concealed fastening is ingenious, as the drill holes on the top are not necessary. The quality of the products, delivery, but above all the good service and friendly contact are simply a pleasure. Many thanks! “

“Thank you very much for delivering this beautiful wood for my patio! The terrace has now been completed. Everything went very smoothly, delivery, unloading, preparation and timber construction, all great! I am delighted with the new (or renovated) terrace with the Cumaru wood. “

Observe instructions and technical rules

Please note that the customer terraces should not be seen as examples of installation in accordance with the specialist rules and are often installed individually according to the customer’s ideas. Sufficient ventilation must always be ensured for terraces. This is achieved, for example, by leaving a gap of 2 cm to solid structures and curbs or by using ventilation grilles.
