Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

A stable, well-ventilated substructure made of hardwood or aluminum is ideal. Hardwood substructures such as Cumaru or teak are particularly durable and go well with Jatoba.

Jatoba is a very hard wood with a smooth surface, making it largely splinter-free and pleasantly barefoot-friendly if it is well processed and cared for.

Jatoba is extremely resistant to moisture, pests and decay. It is ideal for outdoor use and will last for many years with the right care.

Jatoba planks can be used untreated and develop a silver-grey patina. The original reddish-brown color can be preserved with special wood oil.

The exact dimensions can vary. Typical thicknesses are between 20 and 25 mm, widths between 90 and 145 mm. For specific dimensions, we recommend checking the product details on the website.

The Jatoba terraces of our customers

Kitchen worktops are exposed to particular stresses: cutting, cooking, frying. They have to withstand water, grease and scratches. Teak is naturally resistant – and with the right wood care, the worktop will remain beautiful for decades.
