Substructures made from hardwood itauba (resistance class 1) or the more favorable sucupira (resistance class 1-2) are suitable for every decking board . With the strong beams in the profile 90x90mm even large distances can be spanned with just a few support points.

The sustainable origin

Our itauba hardwood substructure comes from a sustainably managed forest area in Brazil and is FSC® 100% certified. Only as much wood is taken from the forest as grows back in the same period and high social and ecological standards are maintained in the forest and sawmill.

The durable hardwood

Itauba plays in the same league as the particularly hard woods cumaru and ipe. It achieves the same durability according to the DIN standard and is characterized by very good dimensional stability. This makes it a cheaper alternative as a substructure to the popular decking woods cumaru, ipe, jatoba, garapa and teak.

Comprehensive advice

We provide comprehensive advice on your decking project and the construction of a hardwood substructure. The hardwood substructure in profile 45x68mm reaches a span of 120cm, the 90x90mm thick beams span over 200cm and are therefore very suitable for creating counter battens. We will be happy to provide you with a free installation plan for your project or inform you in our decking advice.
