Our itauba hardwood substructure comes from a sustainably managed forest area in Brazil and is FSC® 100% certified. Only as much wood is taken from the forest as grows back in the same period and high social and ecological standards are maintained in the forest and sawmill.
Itauba plays in the same league as the particularly hard woods cumaru and ipe. It achieves the same durability according to the DIN standard and is characterized by very good dimensional stability. This makes it a cheaper alternative as a substructure to the popular decking woods cumaru, ipe, jatoba, garapa and teak.
