Constructive advantage
With a wall thickness of 2 mm, the aluminum substructure provides sufficient support for the screw and at the same time reduces the stresses that can arise from the working of the wood.
System solution
If wooden planks are installed on an aluminum substructure, the screws between the plank and the substructure should have a shear range: Wood moves with temperature fluctuations, but aluminum remains rigid – if the screw has no clearance, it will otherwise break quickly. A spacer profilewhich is placed between the wooden planks and the aluminum construction creates the required clearance. With a concealed screw connection using the BioMaderas clips – which are specially adapted to the aluminum substructure – no spacer profile needs to be used.
