ALUMINUM SUBSTRUCTURE
The chamber system with two aluminum walls offers the terrace screw a good hold and achieves a high static load. Aluminum is almost indestructible and very dimensionally stable. The rails can easily be shortened with a hacksaw.

Building instructions
The aluminum substructure of BioMaderas can be laid directly on a flat and solid surface. Terrace pads are recommended for small height adjustments between the substructure and foundation. If a greater construction height is to be achieved, pedestals from BioMaderas to be worked. BioMaderas Terrace screws or the concealed fastening system from BioMaderas can be installed with the substructure.

Finger-jointed terrace wood
Finger-jointing is a tried-and-tested wood connection in timber construction, through which individual pieces of solid wood are put together to form a longer piece of decking wood. Wedge-shaped prongs on the ends of the pieces of wood interlock and are weatherproof glued together. This can be seen on the surface of the plank, but fades into the background with weathering and the formation of the patina.
Finger-jointing offers various advantages: the wood is less prone to warping and the tree trunk can be used more efficiently, which makes the product particularly sustainable and usually also cheaper.
