Knives from Solingen
The manufactory was founded by Karl Güde in 1910 – at a time when over 9,000 small craft businesses were producing cutlery and knives in Solingen.
Forged from one piece
The fact that Güde is one of the few knife makers from Solingen that still exists today is due to its consistent focus: small quantities in high quality. Not comparable with knives from automated production.
Inventor of the Güde serrated edge
The invention of the Güde serrated edge makes it possible, bread knives which should actually be called bread saws. The particularly sharp teeth saw open the bread instead of crushing it.
Matching our cutting boards
The three models in the Güde Alpha Teak series have a handle with teak from BioMaderas – and therefore go perfectly with the cutting boards and chopping blocks made from FSC®-certified teak.
Free gift wrapping
You can have our chopping boards, chopping blocks and teak knives gift-wrapped by us free of charge. We can also enclose a greetings card with a personal message from you in the parcel. The greeting card is printed on FSC-certified uncoated paper, the wrapping paper is compostable and shipping is climate-neutral.
