Origin & character of the wood

Freijó comes mainly from northern Brazil and grows in the tropical rainforests of South America. The wood is particularly valued for high-quality interior applications due to its light weight, good workability and decorative grain.

Warm look with a natural expression

Freijó has a golden-brown to yellowish color, which can vary depending on the location and age of the tree. The wood rays create a fine mirror on radial cut surfaces, which gives the wood a noble appearance. Due to these properties, Freijó is often used in furniture making and for veneers.

Stable behavior and versatile application

The wood is characterized by favourable shrinkage behaviour and reliable dimensional stability. The durability class 2 makes it resistant to biological influences.
