Modulus of Rupture (MOR) is an index for flexural strength. The flexural strength is defined by how a specimen (square-shaped) with defined dimensions behaves in a 3-point bending test until it breaks at maximum stress. The maximum stress is listed in the units N/mm2 or MPa. This flexibility or bending test is often referred to as the transverse test, the breaking strength test, the 3-point or even the 4-point bending test.
