STTC

The STTC (European Sustainable Tropical Timber Coalition(European Sustainable Tropical Timber Coalition) is a non-governmental organization (NGO): NGO, Non Governmental organization). It is based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and is part of the Sustainable Trade Initiative (STI).

The aim of the STTC is to strengthen demand in Europe for sustainably sourced tropical timber and thus support the transition to responsible forestry in exporting countries. Partners of the STTC include the certification seals  FSC® and PEFC, the state of Berlin, the city of Amsterdam and various timber importers, including BioMaderas GmbH.
