Wood with naturally low resistance, which is made significantly more durable by means of a complex technical process. The material is baked in oil at 170° to 250° for 24 to 48 hours. The result is significantly improved swelling and shrinkage behavior. However, the strength of the wood suffers from the energy-intensive process. Similar to charcoal, it can break easily and become porous. Cracks often form with ageing.
