Wood moisture meter

A wood moisture meter is used to determine the moisture content of beams, veneers, decking boards or forest wood. There are devices on the market that work with three different methods. When measuring with sensors, there is no need to interfere with the material. When taking a kiln-dried sample, one millimeter narrow holes are drilled into the wood to measure the moisture content. When measuring with electrodes, two needles are inserted into the wood and the electrical conductivity and thus also the moisture value of the wood is determined.
