wood moisture

Indicates the water content within a wood. The percentage of wood moisture is calculated from the difference between wet and kilned weight (dry weight). Freshly cut wood has a moisture content of between 40% and 60%. For further use, the wood must be subjected to natural or, even better, technical drying in order to ensure the process of adaptation to the humidity level of the environment in a gentle manner.
