Step 1: Sand the surface of the wood board smooth and remove dust.
Step 2: Apply primer to close pores.
Step 3: Seal the board with clear varnish, oil or wax, depending on the desired finish.
Step 4: Allow the sealant to dry thoroughly and apply a second coat if necessary.

Solid wood panels made of teak or oak are particularly suitable because they are durable, moisture-resistant and cut-resistant.

Solid wood panels: Consist of continuous wood, are more stable, more durable and can be sanded multiple times.
Veneer panels: Have a thin layer of wood on a base board, are lighter and cheaper, but less robust.

Lightweight and sturdy panels such as 18 mm thick solid wood are ideal for shelves and cabinet bodies.

Pay attention to the type of wood (e.g. teak).
Check the workmanship and surface quality.
Make sure the board is FSC-certified to ensure sustainability.
Choose the appropriate strength for your intended use.
