Sorting criteria
Protect by using: The main cause of the destruction of the rainforest is its displacement by agriculture. By buying certified wood, people in the tropics can live from sustainable forestry. The forest becomes their livelihood and thus worth protecting. The SVLK certificate is issued by the Indonesian timber assurance program and meets the criteria of sustainable and social forestry through the additional standard PHPL.
Teak planks from Indonesia, 95mm width
The wooden slats made from Java teak are produced from particularly old teak trees. The trees grow in the east of the main Indonesian island and are planed into wooden slats there. The high oil and rubber content makes this wood particularly supple and minimizes the risk of cracking and splintering. The best dimensional stability of all particularly durable woods ensures that the wooden boards remain dimensionally stable for years.
